Robin
Robin Lyons is the Managing Director of Calon, in Cardiff. He has had a career as an actor, writer and jazz critic, but for over twenty years has been writing and producing animation and children’s television. His credits include the BAFTA winning SuperTed and Hilltop Hospital, and the multi-award winning Hana’s Helpline. Robin is currently producing Igam Ogam, a stop-motion animation series for S4C, Five and ZDF Enterprises, and developing an animated sitcom with Red Dwarf writer, Rob Grant. He developed the Hanna Barbera series Fantastic Max with writing partner Judy Rothman, has worked as a story editor for Cinar, Dic, France Animation, Dargaud Marina, Ravensberg and others, and has written literally hundreds of scripts for animation, including three internationally distributed features. Besides running his own production company Calon, he gives workshops and lectures all over Europe, and is a Visiting Professor at The University Of Glamorgan's School of Creative & Cultural Industries in Cardiff.
